Florida closing cost calculator
Itemized buyer-side closing costs for any Florida home - doc stamps, intangible tax, title insurance, lender fees, and escrow.
Florida has a few quirks that make closing costs higher than the national average: a 0.2% intangible tax on every new mortgage, doc stamps on the note ($0.35 per $100 borrowed), and a state-promulgated title insurance rate that scales with sale price. We itemize all of them so there are no surprises at the table.
This calculator estimates buyer-side costs only. In most Florida counties the seller pays the doc stamps on the deed and the owner's title insurance policy - Miami-Dade is the common exception.
